It would seem as though we're another step closer to hearing Machine Gun Kelly's highly-anticipated pop-punk album Tickets To My Downfall, as the musician has began teasing a snippet of the record's next single.

Machine Gun Kelly's new effort once again stars collaborator and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and follows infectious lead single Bloody Valentine. This track goes by the name of Concert For Aliens, with MGK teasing that it is officially arriving on August 5. Brace yourselves…

"New snippet we performed on Good Morning America is Concert For Aliens," he wrote on social media alongside a 40-second performance of the already-super-catchy song. "Coming to planet earth August 5!"

In an interview with Zane Lowe earlier this year, Machine Gun Kelly explained that work on Tickets To My Downfall initially began late last year, with his creative partnership between himself and Travis feeling so natural and inspiring that they pretty much instantly decided to write a record together.

"This whole thing started out with one studio session," he said. "We’ve been great friends for a decade. So this was just like, ‘Hey, let’s just do a random day of work.’ The energy was so immense that came from it…

"And it was so powerful that Travis was like, ‘Fuck it, I’m blocking off two months of my life and we’re doing this album.’ So I know it has some of that feel and some of that album’s classic nostalgia in this because otherwise we wouldn’t have just stopped everything we were doing to do this."
