Matt Heafy mashes up Trivium and My Chem in the style of Michael Bublé

Watch Trivium’s Matt Heafy perform a mash-up of The Heart From Your Hate and Welcome To The Black Parade in the style of Michael Bublé. Because of course.

As well as recently reworking old Trivium songs and giving them a new acoustic flair, frontman Matt Heafy has taken a song from the metallers’ back-catalogue and done some very strange things to it.

The endlessly creative vocalist and guitarist decided to change up single The Heart From Your Hate – taken from Triviums 2017 album The Sin And The Sentence – and mash it together with My Chemical Romances classic hit Welcome To The Black Parade… with a twist.

Instead of singing it all in his usual style, Matt channels his inner Michael Bublé (sure), using the Canadian crooner’s It’s A Beautiful Day as particular inspiration.

In fairness, it’s all done pretty damn seamlessly, with the musician’s shredding skills on fine display as ever. But, we do still have to ask… what?! And, er, why?!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with next, Matt!
