Melvins Cancel European Tour Due to Drummer’s Injury
Iconic sludge pioneers Melvins have sadly cancelled a string of European tour dates after drummer Dale Crover sustained an unspecified injury. The legendary four piece — fronted by Buzz Osbourne and now completed by bassists Jeff Pinkus and Steven McDonald — were set to play Brighton, UK last night (June 6) before hitting the continent on June 18 for a gig in Amsterdam.
The band released the following statement explaining the situation to their fans:
I regret to inform you that I have to cancel our upcoming European tour. I’ve been dealing with a back related injury and I’m unable to perform at this time.
I feel awful that I have to let you all down like this. I want to assure you that I’m working very hard to return 100% better! We will come back as soon as we can.
Thank you for understanding,
