Members of Metallica Form Classic Rock Cover Band
Want to hear some classic rock covers by members of Metallica? Prepare yourself for The Wedding Band, a cover band consisting of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, along with Ugly Kid Joe singer Whitfield Crane, and former Queens of the Stone Age and Danzig drummer Joey Castillo. The band will be doing a concert at Ontario’s Cosmopolitan Music Hall at Cosmo Music on July 26.
“The Wedding Band is not just your typical cover band. Actually maybe they are…” says the venue’s site. “But the band members are certainly not typical. We’re extremely excited to welcome Kirk Hammett joined by his good friends Rob Trujillo, Whitfield Crane, and Joey Castillo for a special event. This unlikely bunch is coming to play all your favourite classic covers from bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, and more. This is going to be an event you’ll never forget — don’t miss out!”
General admission tickets are $200 + tax and VIP tickets are $300 + tax. Hopefully, they’ll throw some Celtic Frost into the mix.
The Wedding Band’s show is a one-off of Metallica’s European tour, so if you want to see the full band minus the covers, the dates for that are as shown below:
