Metallica Call For Fans To Volunteer At Food Banks In Fight Against Hunger
Ever the good guys, Metallica have announced their second annual ‘Day Of Service’, inviting fans to unite in the fight against hunger.
Along with their non-profit All Within My Hands Foundation, the metal titans will be volunteering at local community food banks on May 22 – and have called for fans to join them in doing the same.
“We would like to continue supporting the fight against hunger by asking you to give a few hours of your time and unite with other Metallica fans to make a difference,” reads the description of a video message from the band.
“Click here to find participating food banks and more information about how to sign up to pitch in that day. Each registered volunteer on May 22 will receive a special All Within My Hands T-shirt commemorating our second united day of service. Please note that space is limited and you must register; unfortunately we will not be able to accept walk-ins.
“If you do not live near one of the food banks listed on the site or are unavailable on this day, we encourage you to visit Feedingamerica.org to find a local food bank in your community. Please share the video, and if you would like to donate you can do so here.”
