Metallica’s Master Of Puppets Is Getting A (Very) Deluxe Reissue

Some reissues are so-so, some reissues are let’s go! And this swanky set is definitely of the latter variety.

Metallica’s Master Of Puppets Is Getting A (Very) Deluxe Reissue

Master Of Puppets – Metallica’s third studio album, originally released in March 1986 – is to receive a very nice reissue on November 10.

The release will be available is several, um, configurations, I suppose. Versions. Sure, that works, too. A triple-CD set includes the remastered album – which will be available separately, too – alongside a disc of rough mixes and demos, an interview, and a collection of live recordings sequenced to represent a set list from Metallica’s Damage, Inc tour of 1986-87.

A limited-edition deluxe box set includes a bunch of previously unreleased recordings, and a 108-page hardcover book full of photos and essays. This monster of a bundle comes with three LPs, ten (10!) CDs, two DVDs, a lithograph print, handwritten lyrics, and six badges.

Maybe it’s best that you actually look at this thing, for yourself – and, after that, check out one of the remastered album cuts, Disposable Heroes.

Head to Metallica’s website for pre-order links and more information, including a full breakdown of everything in this more-than-desirable, Christmas List-essential collection.
