My Chemical Romance Have Announced Another Rescheduled Show

Having been able to reschedule both their UK/European and U.S. headline tours for 2021, My Chemical Romance have now added to their reunion plans with a newly-announced date in New Zealand.

The New Jersey emo heroes were originally supposed to play Down Under all the way back in March this year, right as the pandemic hit and bands had to cancel/postpone all gigs. Now, it has been announced that My Chem will be hitting New Zealand's Outer Fields At Western Springs in Auckland on November 6, 2021 (there are no accompanying Australian shows just yet, but they will likely be on the way soon, too).

In a joint statement from back in June addressing their postponed reunion dates, My Chemical Romance wrote, “It is a long time away, and there is so much for all of us to do to make the world a better place in the interim. We cannot wait to play for you. Take care of each other and yourselves. We will see you soon.”

In April, frontman Gerard Way also wrote about a return to the stage, sharing a screengrab playing Queen’s The Show Must Go On on his phone: “I don’t take the song to mean that the guys and I would just get back onstage despite world events and recommendations. Everyone’s health and safety is most important to us. And we know when the time is right, whenever that day comes, we will get onstage again. I think the Queen song has multiple meanings – if you haven’t heard it in a while you should check it out.”
