My Chemical Romance Black Parade Era Standing
The News

My Chemical Romance mark 15 years of The Black Parade: So much has changed, too much has stayed the same”

And still, they’ll never take my heart…” My Chemical Romance have marked the 15-year anniversary of The Black Parade.

My Chemical Romance have celebrated the 15th anniversary of their epic third album The Black Parade.

Following it’s big birthday on October 20, the band shared a 30-second video featuring snippets of the record’s iconic music videos – Welcome To The Black Parade, Teenagers and Famous Last Words – on their socials on October 24.

The caption reads: We cannot believe it’s been 15 years since we released The Black Parade. So much has changed, too much has stayed the same. And still, they’ll never take my heart.”

Last week, Gerard Way pondered what his favourite song on the album was, picking three top tracks: I really like Famous Last Words, but I think my favourite is Mama. Oh no, it’s Sleep! That’s what my favourite always is.

Mama’s really up there, but Sleep… Sleep is my favourite,” the vocalist continued. It’s my favourite alongside Mama to play from the album. I just have a completely nuclear guitar sound. It’s just a complete brutal wall of brutality rather. I like the subject and it’s really just a great one to play live. You could really lose yourself in it and feel it. Sleep and Mama tend to be the two that are my favourites off top.”
