My Chemical Romance's YouTube Views Increased As Their Shows Went On Sale

From the announcement of a full U.S. headline tour to selling out three stadium shows in Milton Keynes, England, the world is currently gripped with My Chemical Romance fever.

And those feelings extend to YouTube, too, with the service's UK Music Charts And Trends Recap today (January 31) announcing that there has been a spike in views on the band's music videos, coinciding with fans purchasing their tickets to see the New Jersey emo heroes in Milton Keynes this summer.

In fact, views of My Chem's back-catalogue went up an impressive 120 per cent on January 24, compared to their "prior daily average over the past 12 months". YouTube report that smash singles Helena, Welcome To The Black Parade, Teenagers and I'm Not Okay (I Promise) in particular were all very popular choices amongst viewers.

And it's not just the fans that are getting ridiculously pumped for these shows; guitarist Frank Iero posted last night of all three UK stadium dates instantly selling out, "Wow, I honestly don’t even know what to say… thank you so much for all the love. I really can’t wait to play these shows."

Bassist Mikey Way, meanwhile, added: "As a kid, I dreamed of one day visiting the UK. It’s where a great deal of my favorite bands were from, and back then, it was super rare for them to tour the States. The only other option to experience them live was through bootleg concert CDs. Two in particular I had – David Bowie and Blur – at venue called Milton Keynes. Today we sold out our third show there. To all that made that possible - Thank you!"

Anyway, might as well give those My Chem videos a spin and keep the views rising, eh?
