Tommi's Burger Joint and London black metallers Calligram have joined forces for a very cool cause: they have launched a delicious-looking 'death metal burger' in the run-up to Halloween, with £1 from each going to Help Musicians.

The burger – which can also be made vegan – is available between now and October 31 at every Tommi's Burger Joint branch, with Calligram bassist Smittens enthusing of the partnership: "I first ate at Tommi's when I was in Reykjavik four years ago and being asked to do a collab with the man himself and his team is an absolute honour for us. What band doesn't dream of getting to make their own burger?

"To top it all off, seeing £1 from every burger sold go to Help Musicians is really important to us, I've been suffering from tinnitus for years and they've been incredible with helping me get the help I need, as they do with thousands of musicians."

The meaty version of the death metal burger consists of Black Angus beef, blow-torched blue cheese, grilled black pudding, shredded lettuce, Tommi's volcano sauce and jalapeños, all housed within a charcoal bun. The vegan burger will instead have a Moving Mountains patty and vegan cheese (and obviously no black pudding).

There are 19 different Tommi's branches in four countries, so get involved – see where your closest is here.

And catch Calligram live at the following:

October

26 Bournemouth Anvil
27 London Black Heart
28 Manchester Satans Hollow
29 Edinburgh Opium
30 Nottingham Stuck On A Name
31 Sheffield Record Junkee
