Ozzy Releases Plush Toy Bat With Detachable Head To Mark Anniversary Of Biting Bat’s Head Off

Because, 38 years after the event, how else would you mark the time you bit a bat’s head off?

Today, on the 38th anniversary of what might be the most memorable moment of his entire career, Ozzy Osbourne reminds us his rock’n’roll legacy by promoting an incredible piece of merch: a 12″ plush bat toy with a detachable head.

Today marks the 38th Anniversary since I bit a head off a f*cking bat!” he tweeted before linking to the item in his official website store.

To be fair, the toy was actually released last year, on the 37th anniversary of the fateful chomping of the bat – which the musician believed was made of rubber after it was thrown onstage by a fan at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa. He was subsequently taken to hospital for emergency rabies shots.

While the first batch of plush bats sold out, you can now pick one up at Ozzy’s official website store.

Meanwhile, Ozzy will be hitting the road on his rescheduled tour dates with Marilyn Manson in the U.S. and Judas Priest in the UK and Europe. Get your UK tickets here.
