Placebo announce exclusive 2022 UK festival show headlining Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering

Placebo will headline next year’s Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering alongside Patti Smith and The Flaming Lips.

Alt.rock legends Placebo have announced a UK exclusive festival show for 2022: headlining Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering.

The band will top the May bill alongside Patti Smith and The Flaming Lips, and will reportedly be giving fans during the show a tantalising taste of some brand-new material’ – which makes sense as they said they had finished work on record number eight back in May.

Elsewhere, the bill features the likes of Nova Twins, The Mission, Amy McDonald and Peter Hook & The Light, with many more acts still to be announced. Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering takes place from May 2629, 2022, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Saturday, September 11.

Earlier this year, Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal shared an update on Placebo and asked fans what they wanted from the band: NFTs, posters and art prints, masks, cassette tapes, retro tees, a brand new fan club, even a fanzine, maybe dolls… what Placebo stuff would you really like to get your hands on?

New music and concerts!!’ is the rallying cry and we hear you. Please do not despair and trust that album eight is finished and being primed for release. We are also presently busy booking live dates.”
