Playing Creed With Blast Beats Makes Creed Better

Watch this drummer improve Creed with some hefty blast beats

Creed aren’t known for their heaviness. Having their arms wide open? Sure. Making personal sacrifices? Of course. But injecting a bulldozing dose of metal into their nu-grunge American rock? Not so much.

Well, that is until drummer Samus Paulicelli came along! Posting one of his Twitch streams on Instagram, the Decrepit Birth drummer (and YouTube extraordinaire) has a play along to Creeds 1999 rock ballad Higher… and makes it heavyyyyyy.

Sure, it only lasts a couple of seconds, but adding what Samus calls the Dirk Blast (in reference to ex-Soilwork, current Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren) makes the cheesy soft-grunge worth listening to. Albeit briefly.

Hopefully Samus will post a full cover with blast beats and tom-busting fills soon.
