Post Malone Collaboration Is Ozzy’s “Favourite Since Black Sabbath”

According to Post Malone, Ozzy Osbourne was a huge fan of their new collaboration, Take What You Want.

To coincide with the release of his new album Hollywood’s Bleeding, U.S. rapper Post Malone has appeared on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show to discuss, among other things, his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne.

When asked about Ozzy and their song together – Take What You Want, also featuring Travis Scott – Post replies:

Ozzy Osbourne, baby. I was in Utah because I had just got off tour. It’s good, right? Ozzy went over to Watt’s house. You’ve talked a lot before. He’s a maniac. I said, ‘Hey, you know what? Ozzy Osborne’s coming down, we’re going to cut it and I’ll FaceTime you. And you let me know what’s going on.’ We talked and it was like a big deal. Yeah. Ozzy Osbourne. I think he crushed it. I mean he was talking to Watt and Watt was telling me he was like this, ‘Yo, this is my favourite that I’ve done since you know, Sabbath and since I started my own, own way.’ I was like, ‘That’s huge.’ I’m like honoured. Thank you very much.”

The rapper also reflected on the nature of collaborating with other artists: “I don’t want to think of it as business. That business is on the back end. I think music at the end of the day has nothing to do with fucking business. Music has to do with people. If you’re reaching out saying, ‘Hey, I have this song,’ and like as a precursor to everything, I’m saying that you can’t go out and try to go for, ‘Oh, this person’s hot right now. I wanna song with them?’ A song blows up. It’s important that it makes, it’s organic. It’s not like, like two artists. It’s two artists with each other and say let’s make something. And then if somebody does something for my album, I’m in the studio the and the first chance I get…”
