Rammstein Have Shared A New Video From The Studio

Good news, Rammstein fans: whatever they’re doing has got drums on it…

Lockdown has done strange things to us all. Not least of all Rammstein who, rather than retreating enigmatically into the shadows as expected when their 2020 dates were put on hold, have been (relatively) forthcoming (for them) about what they’re doing with all this sudden free time.

To wit, they’ve revealed that they’re in France’s La Fabrique studios, where last year’s Untitled album was recorded. And, look: here’s a video guitarist Paul Landers shared, first of all showing off just how nice the palatial residential studio is, but also drummer Christoph ‘Doom’ Schneider laying down a beat.

Previously, the band confirmed they were working on something, but were unsure what the end result would be. “We have met and we are working on new songs,” said Christoph. “We want to work on songs. But whether or not it will turn into an album, nobody knows yet.”

They’ve got time to figure that out, though. And if they get bored, La Fabrique boasts that it has “one of the most impressive classical music collections in the world, 200,000 vinyls, 30,000 films, thousands of books…”

There is no mention of whether they have FIFA 2020, but given that Rammstein have suddenly discovered the joys of actually sharing things, we might possibly find out.
