Foo Fighters Watch Themselves Back In Hilarious New 25th Anniversary Doc

Watch Foo Fighters, er, watch themselves as part of the band’s wonderful new 25th anniversary visual journey, Times Like Those.

Though their planned world-domination itinerary” to mark their 25th anniversary as a band was scrapped due to coronavirus in 2020, Foo Fighters have still been able to mark such a momentous career milestone this year in an incredibly special and intimate way: with a new 30-minute documentary called Times Like Those.

The hilarious and ridiculously entertaining short film sees Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee quite literally grab the popcorn as they sit back and look back over their past 25 years as a band, with photos and video clips viewed on a big screen in front of them.

From poor keyboardist Rami’s unfortunate first promo shot with his bandmates (“Dude, it looks like you have an extra toe!”) to flying on private jets, performing with young Icelandic punk rockers, channeling The Beatles on Letterman and eating a lot of BBQ food… well, Times Like Those pretty much has it all, and will have you laughing your head off as the Foos take a nice long trip down memory lane.

Foo Fighters Times Like Those Doc Grab

Maybe the 25th anniversary year didn’t go quite as planned but we were still able to come together for a look back at the last 25 years,” the band write of the doc, which was also directed and executive produced by Dave.
