Having recently announced their first show of 2019 show at Louder Than Life Festival, Slash has confirmed that Guns N' Roses will be going on a "small tour" in October.

The guitarist – who has been in solo mode with Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators – tells Chile's Futuro 88.9 FM in a brand-new interview (via Blabbermouth) that he'll be on the road in Europe over the summer, before touring once more with Guns N' Roses, and then working on that highly-anticipated new GN'R record.

"After [The Conspirators play in] South America, we go straight to Europe and do the festivals over there," he says. "And then from Europe, we go back to the States and Canada and do our first Canadian tour, plus some U.S. dates. And that goes until August. And then after that, I'm gonna hook up with Guns N' Roses. Guns N' Roses has a small tour in October. And then… There's been so much talk about this [new] Guns N' Roses record, which we haven't actually done anything with. So we're gonna sort of focus on that. And then The Conspirators will be [regrouping] some time coming up, depending on what Guns N' Roses is doing. But I've already started putting together material for the new Conspirators record."

Speaking on new Guns N' Roses music, bassist Duff McKagan recently revealed that there have "been some jams going around", and that it's the next obvious step for Guns N' Roses.

"The fun part and the cool part about Guns N' Roses is we don't really talk about it, and what happens next just happens," he says. "It's never been that band that there's a direct schedule of how we do things.

"I've heard some magnificent stuff that Axl [Rose] has – really cool stuff he's been working on. I'm excited about the possibilities with that, of course.

"[A new Guns N' Roses album] will happen when it happens, that's for sure."

Duff recently released a new single Chip Away, taken from his upcoming album Tenderness.
