Slayer Announce Final United States Tour Dates
Thrash legends Slayer have announced the final leg of their farewell tour.
Kicking off in Asheville, North Carolina on November 2, Slayer’s final ever show will take place at The Forum in Los Angeles, California on November 30.
The announcement came in the form of The Final Campaign trailer on YouTube, which also revealed the epic supports for Slayer’s last ever run – Primus, Ministry and Phil Anselmo & The Illegals performing A Vulgar Display Of Pantera.
Slayer’s farewell tour began in May last year, playing as many shows as possible in that time, including their final ever UK show at Download festival last month.
“Boasting perhaps the biggest crowd we’ve ever seen on the Zippo Encore stage, there’s no lack of violence,” said Kerrang!‘s Sam Law of Slayer’s final UK show. “By the time that unstoppable climactic salvo (South Of Heaven, Raining Blood, Black Magic, Dead Skin Mask, Angel Of Death) rings to a close over British soil for the final time, even the mightiest moshers – from the Pit Troll sweating it out front and centre to frontman Tom Araya himself – are wiping tears from their eyes. Line-up shifts and dips in form be damned, tonight finally forces the wrenching acknowledgement that metal will never be the same.”
Tickets for Slayer’s final US tour go on sale July 12 at 10AM local time.
