Slipknot announce 2022 summer European tour
The Slipknot live news keeps on rolling in at the minute: following various announcements this week including Riot Fest and two South American Knotfest dates, the metal titans have confirmed a proper European return next year.
In June the band had initially announced six Euro gigs for 2022, promising that “further shows and dates” would be announced in the near future… and here they are! The ’Knot now currently have 13 dates planned across the pond on what is seemingly still being referred to as a We Are Not Your Kind tour on the poster, though they have also been working on a brand-new album lately, too.
“Clown hit me up, he was like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna start working on some music. Are you down?’” Corey Taylor reflected in May of how the follow-up to WANYK started coming together. “I was like, ‘Absolutely. Start sending me some stuff, and we’ll start figuring it out.’
“So they started putting together some rad music, man – really cool stuff that made me start thinking outside my own box and challenging myself. And it was cool, ’cause I got excited again about exploring some different stuff and not just being so driven in my own thing, but thinking outside, trying to tell other people’s stories again. And that’s kind of where I’m going with this new Slipknot album – trying to tell other people’s stories and not just my own. And it’s feeling pretty rad, man. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
We can’t wait either, Corey…
