Spotify Reveals The Most Streamed Artists Of The Decade

These are the most popular artists and songs of the past decade, according to Spotify

As we wave goodbye to the past decade and contemplate all the things we probably should have accomplished by now, streaming giant Spotify has given us a big ol’ nostalgia injection with their A Decade Wrapped lists.

Spotify have crunched the numbers and stared longingly at pie charts to create lists of the most popular artists and tracks of the past ten years. As you have probably guessed, there’s not exactly a lot of rock music on there. In fact, there are no rock bands in the upper echelons of the Spotify listenership – although Ozzy Osbourne collaborator Post Malone does make an appearance.

Let’s take a look, shall we:

Spotify has also delivered some interesting facts about the past 12 months. Did you know that the most active star sign was Scorpio? Or that comedy podcasts are the most popular? Check it out for yourself.

Let’s hope the next ten years brings more rock’n’roll with it. There’s only so much Ed Sheeran we can take (and it’s not a lot).
