Static-X Will Delay Their New Album

Looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer than originally planned to hear the new Static-X album.

Static-X Will Delay Their New Album

Static-X seemed unstoppable after announcing a tour this summer and a new album a few years after the death of frontman Wayne Static, but now they’ve encountered a roadblock. The album, titled Project Regeneration, was set to release this spring, but they announced in a Facebook post that they stumbled across “unreleased tracks left behind by Wayne.”

Now, the band has supplied fans with another update:

In light of the new tracks with Wayne’s vocals, the band will have to work more and even start from scratch on a few songs. Unfortunately, they won’t be able to return to the album until the first leg of the tour is over, and they can’t release any singles until they finalize a label partner. Still, the wait will hopefully be worth it.

Make sure to catch Static-X on their upcoming Wisconsin Death Trip anniversary tour:
