Synyster Gates Launches Online Guitar School And Community

Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold has launched an online guitar tutorial site alongside his father, veteran session musician Brian Haner Sr, who has played with the likes of Frank Zappa. The Synyster Gates School is to be an "online guitar school with a deep emphasis on community." The pair have designed a curriculum for players of all experience levels that features tons of tutorials and interactive playthrough vids, with the A7X guitarist expressing a hope that it will be a more engaging experience than other online guitar tutorial programs, as students will able to add their own ideas and input to the school as it grows. 

The site isn't quite ready, but sign up now while they iron out the kinks and invite your friends to join for a chance to win a free private guitar lesson with Syn himself.

"My dad and I have been working on this for close to four years now," says Synyster. "It's exceeded both of our expectations. This is beyond a school, this is a community where everyone can go to learn and participate with great reward."
