The New Korn Album Is “So Special”

Brian ‘Head’ Welch gets excited about Korn’s follow-up to 2016 album The Serenity Of Suffering.

It’s been five months since Jonathan Davis started recording vocals for the new Korn album, and guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch has been singing the frontman’s praises in a new interview.

Speaking to SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin over the weekend, Head gushed he hasn’t seen Jonathan work so hard since 2002’s Untouchables, and that everything the vocalist went through last year (his wife Deven tragically passed away) has brought out a “different passion”.

“I’ve never seen Jonathan work so hard on a record since Untouchables,” says Head. “He’s always involved – don’t get me wrong – but he has a different passion, because he went through a lot last year. He has time, he has energy, he has pain and he just grabbed the record. It’s so special.”

Head’s words echo Jonathan’s sentiments from back in January, when he told fans: “I promise to give you my all on this amazing new Korn record.”

This is all sounding very, very promising.
