This Avengers: Endgame x Black Sabbath Edit Is Perfect

Watch Iron Man destroy Thanos to the music of Black Sabbath

Tony Stark and Tony Iommi don’t just share a first name, they’re also bona fide Iron Men. One wears a full-body red and gold armor suit and can fly through the air, and one invented heavy metal with plastic on his fingers, but they’re both heroes. And it was just a matter of time before their paths crossed in the form of a fan-made edit.

In the pivotal scene of Avengers: Endgame, where Iron Man undoes Thanos’ evil work and destroys his army (spoiler alert), Redditor bobleecooper has cut the finger snap to Black Sabbath’s masterpiece Iron Man. Watch Thanos’ soldiers turn to dust as that riff bears down on you, making the whole scene seem even more epic.

This isn’t the first time the Marvel Cinematic Universe has collided with a classic of heavy music. Recently, Chris Hemsworth reprised Fat Thor on Jimmy Fallon to perform a cover of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.

Black Sabbath called it a day in 2017, but frontman Ozzy Osbourne is preparing to tour the world in 2020 – having had to postpone all 2019 dates due to illness and injury.
