Thy Art Is Murder Announce New Album Human Target

Thy Art Is Murder release video for Human Target, the title track from their upcoming album

Australian deathcore mob Thy Art Is Murder have announced details of their new album Human Target.

Human Target is due for release on July 26 via Nuclear Blast, and is the follow-up to 2017’s Dear Desolation, which saw vocalist CJ McMahon return to the band. The new album will also be the first to feature new drummer Jesse Beahler, replacing founder member Lee Stanton.

To mark the album announcement, Thy Art Is Murder have also released a gore-filled video for the title track, complete with blood, guts and guns.

Human Target was the last song written for the album as I felt we lacked an opening track to set the mood and provide the impact for what was to come,” says guitarist Andy Marsh. Human organ harvesting had been brought to my attention as a serious matter that wasn’t receiving much coverage – or not enough for me to hear about it – and I thought the issue required more scrutiny and awareness. To distill the metaphors of proletariat subjugation down to the visceral injustice of taking away the engines of life, seemed to be a powerful atmosphere to open the record.”
