Tinder Launches New 'Festival Mode'

Looking for love at a festival? Tinder might have the answer

Tinder Launches New 'Festival Mode'

Dating app Tinder has announced details of its new Festival Mode for this summer.

The new feature will be rolled out across 10 festivals around the world, including All Points East in the UK.

In the weeks running up to the festival, Tinder users will be able to add a badge to their profile, allowing them to match and talk with other festival-goers.

Festival Mode launches on Tinder today and can be used all summer by anyone attending All Points East, British Summer Time, Lovebox and Parklife in the UK. You'll also be able to find out about special events within the festivals, offering merchandise and VIP upgrades. Not bad for a first date!

Tinder say the idea of Festival Mode came from the trend in app usage during festival season. Last year, activity on Tinder increased by 25 per cent at British Summer Time – we blame the dulcet tones of Robert Smith for getting everyone in the mood.

“It’s no secret that Tinder is a must-have app for singles attending music festivals around the world," said Jenny Campbell, CMO of Tinder.

“We consistently see a spike in Tinder use as tens of thousands of music fans come together, so we wanted to create a new experience that makes it easier to connect with other concert-goers before even setting foot on festival grounds.

“We’ve partnered with some of the biggest names in the entertainment and events industry to make that happen, and we couldn’t be more excited to help Tinder users find their crowd during these events for the rest of 2019.”

Bring Me The Horizon will headline All Points East on May 31. Get your tickets now.
