Tom Morello has revealed that there is a cache of unreleased Audioslave material in the vaults, featuring the late Chris Cornell.

During a question and answer session with fans as part of our In Conversation With series, Tom said: “There’s not a lot, but it's pretty great, and it will come out at some point. I don’t know when.”

One fan asked if the song Sleight Of Hand, which was performed live by the band, was ever recorded in the studio. Morello explained that the track almost appeared on their third and final album, Revelations.

“It was going to be the first single for [the 2006 album] but Timmy really hated it because he thought it sounded like a Danzig song, which is weird,” says Morello. “He yelled ‘Fuck you’ a lot to the head of the label. We said, 'Let’s not put it on the record because we’re about to get dropped.' That one will see the light of day."
