Tool Have Added New Animated Teasers To Their Website

For the new album… It’s for the new album… RIGHT?

Like every other rock fan with an Internet connection, we’ve speculated about when Tool’s long-awaited new album would drop, if ever. Our expectations were significantly increased this weekend, when drummer Danny Carey said publicly that the album was due out this April.

Now, Tool have posted a series of trippy animations on their website which appear to be teasers for the new album.

First, the band posted the following visualization (rip provided by Metal Injection) below:

Followed by this animation, which can be found on the site now:

On the one hand, this might just be some cool animation created for the band’s site… but C’MOOON! Given how much we’re all waiting with bated breath for new anything from Tool, this has to be related to the new album.

We’ll let you know more as we do.
