Travis Barker reimagines Metallica’s Enter Sandman for new movie, Sound Of Metal
Big week for Enter Sandman: first Bill Bailey announces he’s going to be dancing to it in the semi-finals of Strictly Come Dancing this Saturday, and now it’s appearing in new Amazon Prime flick Sound Of Metal, being reimagined by blink-182 drummer Travis Barker among others.
The film centres around a drummer, played by Riz Ahmed (aka Bodhi Rook from Rogue One), who has to come to terms with his loss of hearing. Travis’ new version of the song features actor Paul Raci, who signs the lyrics, along with Elise Trouw, and drummer Carey Watkins, who also sings. Check it out.
After announcing in September that he was “cancer free”, blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus has undergone surgery to remove his chemo port.
Architects are releasing their 2020 Royal Albert Hall livestream show on vinyl and video-on-demand.
