Let true love ring with a shotgun blast!

Watch A Couple Get Engaged In A Machine Head Pit

Love, as the old adage goes, is blind. What some might consider romantic, others might consider ridiculous, and vice versa. But what matters is that two people care for each other beyond all words and expression, and will pledge themselves to one another -- even if it's during a circle pit. That's what happened at a recent Machine Head show, when a fan proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of the pit.

As you'll see in the fan-shot video below, one Machine Head fan got down on one knee midway through Death Church and right in the middle of the pit at Thursday's show in Phoenix, Arizona. He seemed to have a little trouble getting the ring ready -- these things never go as planned, do they? -- but the surrounding crowd shouting, "JUST SAY YES!" probably aren't helping. Thankfully, the bride-to-be says 'Yes!' pretty audibly, so all's well that ends well.

The band posted the following fan-shot video to their Instagram, writing, "Last night this man proposed in the circle pit, during the intro to “death church” (who says romance is dead!?) Was a pretty incredible moment in the middle of a song, and a first for us!!🤘🏻🔥 Congrats to the two of them! someone please let us know their names so we can shout them out!"

And here's another shot of the happy proposal:
