With AC/DC's iconic Back In Black album celebrating its 40th anniversary this month, the rock'n'roll titans have launched the first episode in a new documentary series all about the record.

Seemingly focusing on a song per episode, the band's attention today is on You Shook Me All Night Long, with frontman Brian Johnson opening up about the lyrics: "I'd written the words and I went in to sing it. The boys weren't in, and I was singing, 'She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean, she was the best damn woman that I ever seen.' And Mutt [Lange, producer] said, 'Brian, there's too many words in it.'"

Previously, the vocalist has stated how hard Mutt worked him when it came to his singing as they worked on Back In Black in the studio, revealing, "It was like, 'Again, Brian, again – hold on, you sang that note too long so there's no room for a breath.' He wouldn't let anything go past him. He had this thing where he didn't want people to listen to the album down the road and say there's no way someone could sing that, they've dropped that in, even the breaths had to be in the right place. And you cannot knock a man for that, but he drove me nuts. I'd be sitting there going, 'Arrggghh!'"

He later told Pulse Of The Radio that the success of Back In Black – which was AC/DC's first album after the death of frontman Bon Scott – was a huge surprise.

"I'd just melted me brain in there, and I didn't know if it was good or bad," he explained. "That was the first time I'd been in the Bahamas, anyway, or near America, you know, and you [have to] remember, I was just fascinated by the whole culture and all, and I had no idea what the hell I was doing! And (laughs) lucky, really — I was a bit lucky, I think."
