Watch Bring Me The Horizon’s New Video For Parasite Eve

Watch the intense new video for Bring Me The Horizon’s “survival horror song”, Parasite Eve.

It’s finally here! After months of teaser videos from the studio, Bring Me The Horizon have just unveiled a brand-new single written in quarantine amid the coronavirus pandemic, Parasite Eve.

“Parasite Eve came from an idea to write a survival horror song, but as the pandemic started to develop, the parallels were so similar it felt so close to the bone we decided to shelve it,” explains Oli Sykes. “As time went on, we started to feel how relevant it was and that instead of shying from it, that we should address the dark side, embrace it and process what’s going on… Parasite Eve is our message of hope, wrapped in sadness and anger.”

Quiz: How well do you know Bring Me The Horizon’s lyrics?

The track – which was produced by Oli and badmate Jordan Fish, with additional production from DOOM and DOOM Eternal composer Mick Gordon – is the first in an upcoming series of EPs from the band, with the frontman revealing that they want to make “four different records over the next year”.

“This song is going to be part of a record that has the same feel along with [2019 single] Ludens,” he said. “We’ve just been winging it and recording from lockdown, and now we’re going to make four different records over the next year and they’ll all share the name Post Human.”

I’ve got a fever, don’t breathe on me
I’m a believer of nobody
Won’t let me leave ’cause I’ve seen something
Hope I don’t sneeze, I don’t…

Really we just need to fear something
Only pretending to feel something
I know you’re dying to run
I want to turn you around

Please remain calm
The end has arrived
We cannot save you Enjoy the ride
This is the moment
You’ve been waiting for
Don’t call it a warning
This is a war

It’s the Parasite Eve
Gotta feeling in your stomach, ’cause you know that it’s coming for you
Leave your flowers and grieve
Don’t forget what they told you
When we forget the infection
Will we remember the lesson
If the suspense doesn’t kill you
Something else will

Move

I heard they need better signal
Put chip and pins in the needles
Quarantine all of those secrets in that black hole you call a brain before it’s too late

Really we just wanna scream something
Only pretend to believe something
I know you’re baying for blood
I wanna turn you around

Please remain calm
The end has arrived
We cannot save you Enjoy the ride
This is the moment
You’ve been waiting for
Don’t call it a warning
This is a war

It’s the Parasite Eve
Gotta feeling in your stomach, ‘cause you know that it’s coming for you l
Leave your flowers and grieve
Don’t forget what they told you
When we forget the infection
Will we remember the lesson
If the suspense doesn’t kill you
Something else will

You can board up your windows
You can lock up your doors
But you can’t keep washing your hands of this shit any more
When all the king’s sources and all the king’s friends don’t know their arses from their pathogens When life is a prison and death is a door
This ain’t a warning
This is a war

It’s the Parasite Eve
Gotta feeling in your stomach, ’cause you know that it’s coming for you
Leave your flowers and grieve
Don’t forget what they told you
When we forget the infection
Will we remember the lesson
If the suspense doesn’t kill you
Something else will
