Watch cathartic The Day The Music Came Back mini-doc featuring Foo Fighters
“On June 20, 2021, after 466 days without live music, Foo Fighters reopened Madison Square Garden to a sold-out crowd, marking the first full capacity concert in a New York arena since the start of the pandemic,” reads a description of the nine-and-a-half minute video.
“This short documentary The Day The Music Came Back highlights the cathartic and highly anticipated experience that our city, whose heart beats to the sound of live music, had long been waiting for.”
“We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year,” said Dave Grohl before the show. “And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that hard. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”
Executive chairman and CEO of MSG Entertainment, James Dolan, added: “The Garden is ready to rock. We’ve been waiting for this moment for 15 months and are excited to finally welcome a packed house of roaring, fully vaccinated Foo Fighters fans to Madison Square Garden.”
