Watch Dave Grohl’s Adorable Appearance On Sesame Street

Dave Grohl performs the Here We Go Song with Big Bird and Elmo on Sesame Street.

It’s been well over a year since we first learned that Foo Fighters frontman and all-round rock hero Dave Grohl would be appearing on Sesame Street – and now his brilliant cameo has been shared online in all its adorable glory.

In celebration of the show’s 50th season, Dave joins Elmo and Big Bird for a pretty catchy number called the Here We Go Song, as well as travelling across America with his new gang to meet some very special friends and families.

“Hi, it’s nice to come here and be with my friends Big Bird and Elmo,” says Dave in the clip. “You know, I was just thinking: there’s friends everywhere, even the ones that you don’t know.”

Lovely stuff.

The new season of Sesame Street premieres on November 16. Check out Dave, Elmo and Big Bird rocking out to the Here We Go Song below.

In other Dave-related news, Foos drummer Taylor Hawkins recently told Kerrang! that the frontman is plotting a big 2020 – with potential plans to mark the 25th anniversary of the band’s self-titled debut, as well as working on a brand-new album.

“Well, it’s very possible,” Taylor says. “There’s a lot of talk, and I think Dave is already mapping out what he wants the next record to be, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s something coming down the pipe. I can’t 100 per cent spell it out for you for sure, because I’m always the last to know and I don’t want to give it away. But I would imagine there will be something made of the 25th year of the Foo Fighters, for sure. You know us, we never stop.”

Perhaps Dave’s new foray on Sesame Street could influence the direction of a new Foo Fighters record? We’ll have to wait and see…
