Watch Skunk Anansie’s Live Video For Hedonism
Skunk Anansie have released a new video for Hedonism, comprised of various tours and festival performances by the band – including Glastonbury festival.
The recording is taken from their upcoming live album 25LIVE@25, celebrating 25 years of Skunk Anansie.
“We wanted to develop our sound and after the success of Weak we had more confidence with showing our softer side,” says vocalist Skin. “The basic idea was written at 4am after I’d been horribly dumped and felt utterly destroyed. I’d written the chorus crying into my notepad as ‘I hope you’re feeling happy now’ and the next day we knew we’d got something very special.
“I think every band needs that one song that becomes synonymous with them, you want a classic that lasts, and this is ours. It never gets tired or old to us because of the reaction it gets every time we play it. This song has given us so much, it took us to new heights and we love it still.”
25LIVE@25 is out January 25 via The Republic of Music.
