Watch Slipknot’s Jim Root And Mick Thomson Play Through All Out Life

Learn how to play both guitar parts to Slipknot’s All Out Life

Attention all Slipknot fans and budding guitar heroes! How would you like to learn to play All Out Life? And not just one part, but the both lead and rhythm guitar. Well, good news, because Jim Root and Mick Thomson are here to guide you through it – one section at a time.

Posted by Japanese magazine Young Guitar on YouTube, Jim and Mick first play through the entire song, then break down their parts individually, guiding you through how to nail each part. Of course, our fingers are like dumb sausages, but we’re sure you’ll have better luck.

Check it out for yourself.

All Out Life was released last year as a surprise single for Halloween, but it didn’t make it onto Slipknot’s latest album We Are Not Your Kind – despite being the lyrical inspiration for the album title. The Japanese version of the album, however, does include All Out Life as a bonus track. Take a listen below!

Slipknot’s new album We Are Not Your Kind is out now via Roadrunner Records. It’s currently on course to reach number one in the UK and the U.S., so why not order a copy now?
