Netflix have released the first proper trailer for the upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt.

Based on the book of the same name, The Dirt tells the story of Crüe's formation in LA and their whirlwind journey to one of the biggest rock bands on the planet. And if this trailer is anything to go by, it's going to look great.

Starring Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars, Machine Gun Kelly as Tommy Lee and Daniel Webber as Vince Neil, they look so much like their misfit counterparts it's kinda scary. Machine Gun Kelly in particular looks excellent behind Tommy's rollercoaster drum kit.

Judging by the trailer, it's full of Crüe's infamous hotel antics (including a TV out of the window), fighting, and a lot of sex. But also the drugs, death, addiction and controversy that became synonymous with the Los Angeles legends.

The recreated stage sets look slick too, from the dive bars on the strip to the pyro-filled arenas, it appears that Netflix have gone all-out to recreate Crüe's live history in great detail.

The Dirt comes to Netflix on March 22.
