Watch Vended, Featuring Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan's Sons, Make Their Headlining Debut

Not only are Griffin Taylor and Simon Crahan, sons of Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Shawn 'Clown' Crahan, good friends, they’re also in a band together. And that band, Vended, just played their first headlining show this past weekend.

Rounded out by Connor Grodzicki, Jeremiah Pugh and Cole Espeland, with Griffin on vocals and Simon on drums (just like their dads), Vended played their first headlining show on March 8 at Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines, Iowa. And even though it's their first show, it's clear that Griffin already has all of the makings of a star frontman, and the band play heavy metal with a lot of energy and power.

Simon uploaded a picture of his drum head to Instagram with the set list written on it. Also on the drum head are the words, “For you Gabri,” in honor of his sister Gabrielle, who passed away last year.

Griffin posted a video of their pre-show huddle:

This wasn’t Griffin’s first time onstage, though – he’s sang Song #3 with Stone Sour in the past. In an interview with 102.9 The Hog, Corey talked about how it felt to share the stage with his son.

“First of all, he’s a natural,” he said. “He’d never done anything like that before. We didn’t even practice on stage with him. He and I went through it acoustically backstage. He was 14 at the time. At 14, not only could he lean back on the adrenaline and fall in the pocket, but note-wise, he was so dialed in on it. And then had the presence of mind to be running around stage, like going for it, and then at the end, he jumps up on my check-me-out box and takes like a selfie with the audience. I would have never in a million years thought to do that. I’d never felt that kind of pride in my life, man. I was, like, ‘Oh, you got the Taylor curse now, dude. You’re screwed.’”
