While She Sleeps Discuss How Marshall's JVM Influenced Their Sound

While She Sleeps guitarists Mat Welsh and Sean Long are the latest band to feature in Marshall's playthrough series.

Jamming out a selection of killer riffs from their back catalogue, the Yorkshire pair discuss how their distinctive metallic tone comes from Marshall's JVM.

In the video below, Mat and Sean explain that following their tour with Architects in 2013, While She Sleeps decided they wanted more oomph and power in their sound. For 2015's Brainwashed LP they recorded with JVM rigs, which have been a part of Sleeps' studio set up ever since.

Sean also goes into the nitty-gritty of amps, detailing the high gains and low hiss he gets from JVM, and why – after years of trying to find the right tone – the amp has become ingrained in WSS's records.
