While frontman Danny Worsnop has been busy of late with his solo work and new album Shades Of Blue, it looks like the Asking Alexandria beast is about to roar back to life.

The York mob have just surprised fans by unveiling a short video along with a U.S. phone number: +1424-373-VLNC. If you fancy giving it a dial, you'll come to an automated voice messaging system telling you, "Welcome. Due to a high volume of callers we need to place you on a brief hold.

"Lock your doors. Stay inside. Stay alert. The violence is coming. You’ll be hearing from us shortly."

And then… could that be a tiny snippet of new music? Very possibly.

The band will soon be gearing up for an American tour with Shinedown and Papa Roach, so it's likely that if a new single is in the pipeline, we'll get to hear it before they hit the road.

Check out the teaser below.

Ahead of the release of Danny's Shades Of Blue record in May, the musician revealed to Kerrang! that he wasn't really bothered if Asking Alexandria fans dug his solo sound.

“I used to fall for it and feed into it, but in the end [fiancée] Victoria sat me down and said, ‘You’ve got to stop replying to those people, because you’re just encouraging them,’" Danny said. "At this point I have nothing to say to those people. They go out of their way to find things they hate and complain about them on the internet; they have to find something negative to put on other people so that they’re not alone in their misery. Nothing I say is going to change their minds or their attitudes – that’s who they are as people. You go live your miserable fucking lives – I don’t have time to deal with you!”
