Tool's Back Catalogue Is Now Available On Streaming Services

It's finally happened! Tool's entire back catalogue is now available on all major streaming services including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Deezer.

For the first time in the band's history, their music can be streamed digitally in an official capacity. You can finally stop listening to those poor quality YouTube rips and just search for Tool in your favoured streaming service. YES!

“Our obsession with, and dream of, a world where BetaMax and Laser Disc rule has ended,” says Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan. “Time for us to move on. But never fear. There’s a brand new thing we think you’re really gonna dig. It’s called digital downloads and dtreaming. Get ready for the future, folks!”

Tool's four full-length albums (Undertow, Ænima, Lateralus and 10,000 Days ) are available to stream, as is their 1992 debut EP Opiate.

The addition of Tool's discography to streaming services comes four weeks ahead of their long-awaited fifth album Fear Inoculum. Thirteen years in the making, the wait will finally be over on August 30. Until then, you can repeatedly listen to Tool album per week in anticipation.

Earlier this week, Maynard revealed just why the new Tool album has taken so long.

“The four of us are a lot of fucking work, just to get anywhere, oh my God. Everything’s a fucking committee meeting and it always gets shut down,” he explained on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “[The hurdle is] success. When you get successful, you think you’re right about everything and you’re pretty sure as that individual: ‘I am right and you are wrong, because I’m successful and we’re successful because of me, not because of you.’ It’s not that bad with us, but there’s a dynamic of, like, ‘I want this and I’ve always gotten my way and that’s why we’re successful, because I don’t compromise on this or that.’ I’m the same way. I’m totally the same way.”
