Exclusive Premiere: Judiciary Are Merciless On New Track, Temple

Judiciary go bigger and more metallic than most. While plenty of their peers do their best to sound more stripped down and gritty than the next guy, this Lubbock, Texas-based hardcore quintet err on the side of booming production and steely guitar solos that are more reminiscent of Pantera than Poison Idea.

All of this is most likely what got the band signed to Closed Casket Activities earlier this year, who are now preparing to release the band's latest full-length album, Surface Noise. Now, the band has released its first track off of the album, Temple, which showcases all of the band's unique talents. Galloping forth with bladed riffs, weighty guest vocals by Brody King of God's Hate, the song is a spirited display of circle pittery that will have fans of Exhorder and Power Trip punching the air in glee.

According to the band, "The record title Surface Noise is a reference to a Men At Work lyric from the song It’s a Mistake, which is written in reference to the threat of nuclear war as a result of the Cold War. We felt this concept was just as relevant now with the constant unapologetically violent rhetoric and finger-on-the-trigger mentality of our current leadership, as well as in our personal lives, most of which have been spent in a small conservative town, where hate and bigotry are proud to show their faces. As we’ve grown, we’ve all learned that not only do a large percentage of those we’ve grown up around subscribe to this perspective, they vehemently reject any rational solution to it. The suffocating majority of misinformed, uneducated, and close-minded beliefs that are celebrated in our corner of the country are no more than noise in a grander scheme."
