Black Metal Legend Ihsahn Launches Our New YouTube Series

Do you remember the first time? That moment when you heard music that made you feel genuinely alive? We do. And so does every single musician that Kerrang! speaks to.

In celebration of the life-affirming power of music, we’ve launched The Album That Saved My Life, a new video series in which our favourite musicians talk to us about the point where everything changed for them.

The series kicks off with the legendary Ihsahn – one of the architects of black metal thanks to his work with Emperor and as a solo artist – who selects an album that he describes as both mysterious” and mystic”.

Find out which album he’s talking about by watching the film below. Oh, and subscribe to Kerrang!’s YouTube channel to ensure you don’t miss a single episode of this all-new, all-revealing series, and check out our five-page interview with the man himself in the current issue of Kerrang! magazine, which is available here.
