Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith recently stormed off stage after a fan in the crowd shouted "Will Ferrell!" at him. Smith was performing at the Los Angeles Musicians Institute when the heckler shouted the actors name at the drummer.
Of course, it's been noted over the years how the two have a pretty uncanny resemblance to each other, and the drummer has probably had years of heckling thrown his way. Luckily, for the fan, and everyone else watching, he was winding everyone up.
Despite storming off stage and shouting, "SHUT UP!", he soon returned in good spirits. Chad even said to the fan, “Nah I’m just fucking with you. I don’t give a shit, I think it’s great! I’m fucking famous because of Will Ferrell. Fuck that guy, right!”
