GroundCulture have yet to play their first show – they've just announced one in Newcastle on May 10, before supporting Every Time I Die in London on May 29, no pressure – but they're already hotter than Dante's barbecue. Just check out the video for banging track Sculptures.

"Sculptures kind of picks at the negative thought forms and habitual self perceptions in daily life that make us hard work for those we love – and ourselves – even though we're just a bit unconscious and don't particularly have an awareness of the bigger picture," explains singer Roy Watson. "We're too magnetised toward emotion and impulse.

"At the same time, it points to the the fact someone can captivate you enough, or get under the surface of that imbalance, to pull you back to a stable state of thinking, in which you're able to analyse and reset yourself.

"Its all about going back to basic stillness and redirecting your energy towards positive change. When I wrote it, I was inspired by someone who meant more to me than I did myself. Although it's pretty rapid and aggressive, it actually reminds me of the positive lessons I took from my complacence."
