Joy Through Death With Grave Pleasures

A new Grave Pleasures single ahead of their new album, which comes out Friday.

Grave Pleasures are releasing their new rekkid, Motherblood, on Friday, the artwork’s pretty great, don’t you think?

It was recorded in an old WW2 coding bunker at Orgone Studios in the UK by Jaime Gomez Arellano (who has previously worked with fun guys like Ghost and Ulver) and, we’re told, picks up where 80s UK post-punk folks like Magazine, The Wire and Echo And The Bunnymen left off — no one’s really come for that crown lately, so we’re psyched to see what they’ve come up with. Oh, and in there somewhere are some guest vocals from David Tibet from Current 93, no less. It’s going to be great and we are genuinely excited. Expect more on GP on this website, soon.

Here’s Joy Through Death, to tide you over til Friday:

Grave Pleasures will be on touuuuurrrrr:

4 November – Damnation Festival, Leeds University Union
5 November – BRIGHTON, Hope & Ruin
6 November – BRISTOL, Exchange
7 November – LONDON, Electrowerkz
8 November – YORK, Fulford Arms
9 November – GLASGOW, Garage Attic
