At the end of Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam festival set last night in San Bernardino, CA, the remaining members of Nirvana reunited to perform together for the second time since the death of Kurt Cobain in April 1994.

Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novoselik performed six songs with Joan Jett and Deer Tick’s John McCauley, the same two musicians that appeared with them during their 2014 New York sets (April 2014 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony at Barclays Center, and then for another show later that evening at Saint Vitus).

Grohl, Novoselic, and Smear also played with Paul McCartney in 2012 and 2013, performing a song called Cut Me Some Slack, which they later won a Grammy for. They also covered David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World with Beck at a Grammys party in 2016, and played Molly’s Lips this summer at Safeco Field in Seattle.

Here's the set list from last night:

Serve The Servants (with John McCauley)
Scentless Apprentice (with John McCauley)
In Bloom (with John McCauley)
Breed (with Joan Jett)
Smells Like Teen Spirit (with Joan Jett)
All Apologies (with Joan Jett and Brody Dalle)
