Watch Baroness Shake The Hell Out Of A Tiny Brooklyn Dive Bar
Before unveiling their brand new album Gold & Grey, Baroness stopped by Kerrang!’s favorite Brooklyn dive bar The Gutter to tear New York a new one in front of a select group of fans. And while we knew it was going to be a wild night — a small crowd in a packed room with one of the most exciting metal bands of all time, how couldn’t it be? — we certainly didn’t know just how sweaty and crazed it would get.
Like a two-headed cyclone, guitarists John Baizley and Gina Gleason pummeled the rapt audience with one tasty riff after another, while bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson drove the charge at a funky pace. John and Gina’s wide-eyed snarls and bellows into the crowd got people sweaty, screaming along, and throwing their hands in the air in total adulation. By the end of the set, the place was a steamy, adrenaline-drunk mess, and everyone left with a big, satisfied smile on their glistening face.
