Watch State Champs’ New Video For Dead And Gone

They’ve announced further details on new album Living Proof, too.

State Champs have released a video for new single Dead And Gone.

The clip comes with the news of the band’s upcoming third album, Living Proof, which is due out on June 15 via Pure Noise Records.

It was like, let’s take as many swings at it, try as many new things and experiment, until we get to the point where we could start searching through it all and then find the album,” explains frontman Derek DiScanio of the writing process.

The pop-punks collaborated with All Time Lows Alex Gaskarth and blink-182s Mark Hoppus for the release – with Mark actually helping with Dead And Gone.

We had no idea he was even coming in,” says Derek. Then the next day, me and Mark Hoppus are just sitting out by John Feldmann’s pool writing lyrics from scratch. And that ultimately ended up being Dead And Gone, which is the first single on the record.”

Living Proof has a lot to do with independence, and finding the independence within you, embracing the mixed emotions that fall in your lap a lot of the time,” he continues.

There are songs on this album about everything. There’s break-ups, and flings, love, loss, all of that. I’ve seen a little bit of everything through this writing process.”
