Beartooth Have Finished Their New Album

Caleb Shomo has confirmed that Beartooth’s fourth record is in the bag…

Like Ghost, Beartooth are one of those bands who dodged a bullet this year by having ‘rest and then work on the album’ in their diary for most of it. As they brought the Disease tour to a close back in February, frontman Caleb Shomo revealed he was already hard at work on album four.

“So far I have 15 fully-finished instrumentals and I have the first single ready to go,” he told Kerrang! backstage after the band’s dynamite show at London’s Roundhouse. “I’m going to take a few weeks off, write the lyrics, track the songs then sit on it for a minute.”

Update alert: he’s done all that, and confirmed it all on Twitter.

The band have already showed off one of the new tracks, Fed Up, which they debuted at their drive-in concert in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on October 10. No word on when we’ll hear the rest of the new stuff – which Caleb promises is the heaviest material the band have ever done – but since it’s finished and the advent of COVID vaccines has basically put next summer’s touring and festivals back on the road, hopefully it will be reasonably soon.
